Providing comfort, hope, and confidence to children in urgent need
Subaru and its retailers partner with Operation Warm® to visit local homeless shelters and support agencies to provide children with brand-new necessities like coats, shoes, and socks.
These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, they can also have a significant impact on a child’s mental and emotional well-being.
Through this partnership and other historical Subaru Loves to Help efforts, Subaru and retailers like us will have supported over 1 million children and adults in urgent need nationwide.
At Subaru, we believe what we leave behind is a reflection of who we are. That’s why Subaru and our retailers partner with the Arbor Day Foundation (TM) to provide and distribute 100,000 regionally appropriate trees across the country. We’re proud to establish the largest corporate tree distribution ever. Through this and other Subaru Loves the Earth initiatives, Subaru and our retailers have helped distribute and plant over 1.1 million trees.
Subaru believes we should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. That’s why for over 10 years, Subaru and its retailers like us have partnered with Blood Cancer United® and our local hospital to give warm blankets and encouraging messages of hope, written by our employees and customers, to support our community members living with cancer. Through our combined efforts during this partnership, we have supported over 550,000 cancer patients nationwide. Together, we are proud to be Blood Cancer United’s largest automotive donor.
Subaru and its retailers, like us, are continuing our support of education and high-needs schools in our communities through Subaru Loves Learning(R) by providing teachers across the country with funding to purchase the school supplies and resources they know are needed to help students thrive in the classroom. Through our partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, Subaru and its retailers have supported more than 950,000 students nationwide and are proud to be their largest corporate supporter.
Subaru believes all pets deserve a loving home. That's why retailers like us partner with our local animal welfare organization every October to provide direct financial assistance through a grant distributed by the ASPCA® and host pet events to help animals find loving homes. Through our partnership with local and national organizations, Subaru has donated over $70 million, supporting the rescue, adoption, and health of over 700,000 animals. We're proud to be the largest corporate donor to the ASPCA.
Subaru and its retailers believe in giving back to our communities. That's why for every new vehicle sold or leased during the Subaru Share the Love event, Subaru and its retailers, like us, makes a donation to national charities that our owners care about and to over 2,700 local charities where Subaru owners live and work.
Now, after 17 years, Subaru and our retailers have donated nearly $320 million to charity all to give back and to make the world a better place.
Subaru and City Limits Subaru believe in making a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work. We uphold that belief through our Love Promise Community Commitment. Every month, we select inspiring stories from customers and partners from around our area who strive to support our collective commitment and feature them here.

A huge thank you to Subaru City Limits for their generous support of the Texas Cultural Trust's Butler Young Masters program! Subaru has been a longtime supporter of community and creativity — and their support of Young Masters is a reflection of that commitment. Through this partnership, young Texas artists have been given the opportunity to explore their talents, express their unique voices, and share their work with the world. Together, we are nurturing the artists, storytellers, and visionaries who will shape Texas culture for generations to come. Thank you, Subaru, for believing in the power of young people and the arts!

The morning started like any other at City Limits Subaru—coffee brewing, showroom lights warming to life, and the quiet hum of a community getting ready for the day. But on this particular morning, something felt different. Near the service bay, a small group of employees gathered around a set of training mannequins. Laughter mixed with nervous energy as they waited for instructions. Today wasn't about selling cars or scheduling appointments—it was about learning how to save a life. "Push hard and fast—right in the center of the chest," the American Heart Association presenter said, demonstrating the rhythm of Hands-Only CPR. One by one, team members stepped forward. Some hesitated at first, unsure of their strength or technique. Others leaned in with determination. Within minutes, the room transformed—what began as uncertainty became confidence, and what felt intimidating became empowering. For many, the training hit close to home. They've seen emergencies happen, as one employee experienced a heart attack onsite a few years prior. That reality is what brought the American Heart Association to City Limits Subaru. Together, they set out to make every employee ready—to turn bystanders into lifesavers. Thirty-seven employees from City Limits Subaru committed to learning these skills—each one walking away with the ability to step in during a cardiac emergency. And it mattered. Because cardiac arrest doesn't wait. It can happen anywhere—in a showroom, in a parking lot, or at home. Without immediate help, survival chances drop quickly. But with CPR, those chances can double or even triple. The American Heart Association is grateful for companies like City Limits Subaru for stepping up and taking action in their community. As the last mannequin was packed away and the training came to a close, the showroom returned to its familiar rhythm. But the people inside it were different. Now, behind every handshake, every service ticket, every set of keys handed over—there was something more. Confidence. Preparedness. And the quiet assurance that if the unthinkable happens, someone will be ready. Because at City Limits Subaru, safety isn't just a feature—it's a commitment to saving lives.

City Limits Subaru has been an extraordinary partner over the past three years, empowering us to create a transformative impact in our community with infectious enthusiasm. Their employees' unwavering dedication has been a constant source of motivation, always just a phone call away. The grant from City Limits Subaru supporting the events with Operation Warm, providing athletic shoes and coats, has a life-altering impact on our children, enabling them to walk into the classroom with unbridled confidence and pride, ready to flourish. This has also alleviated the burden on parents, who no longer have to worry about providing their child with the necessary items to stay warm and with a pair of athletic shoes that fit perfectly. Thanks to the community engagement, sponsorship, and professionalism of City Limits Subaru, Unforgettable Families has experienced unprecedented visibility in the community, leading to a significant surge in support for families in need.

We are so thankful to City Limits Subaru for partnering with us in our efforts to keep our programs of teaching primary school students about how to Save the Song Birds and about how to be good stewards of nature! These programs mean a lot to our public schools here in Dripping Springs and it would be impossible without the funding we have received. The funds City Limits Subaru has provided also helps donate the birdseed in our local parks! Our local bird blinds are visited frequently by the people who live in Dripping Springs as well as our incredible bird population. Thank you to City Limits Subaru for partnering with us to support our local wildlife and the folks who live here and get out to explore and enjoy nature.

Hi there, Thank you again for partnering with the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce and SMCISD for the STEAM Career Exploration Fair. We truly appreciated City Limits Subaru being part of the event and helping make it such a great experience for our students and families. The STEAM Fair brought together around 1,000 students, parents, educators, and local businesses to help expose students to different career paths and opportunities in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Your team did a wonderful job creating an interactive experience where students could engage directly with Subaru staff, explore the vehicles and technology, and ask questions in a relaxed and welcoming environment. One of the things we loved most was seeing the conversations taking place between your team and the students. It gave students a chance to see how innovation, technology, and customer service all connect within the automotive industry. Partnerships like this are so valuable because they help students start thinking about future careers while also connecting local businesses directly with the community. We are grateful for City Limits Subaru's support of local education, workforce development, and community involvement. Thank you again for being such a great partner to the Chamber and San Marcos CISD. Kind regards, Tiffany Quibodeaux Membership Development Executive San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce

Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, this is the reality. City Limits Subaru partnered with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. On 2026-01-29, City Limits Subaru donated 300 Coats/Shoes/Socks Combo to Unforgettable Families & Friends. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry but also significantly impact a child's mental and emotional well-being. At Unforgettable Families & Friends, we are so grateful for this gift that will help so many in our community.

City Limits Subaru once again offered to treat our staff during Teacher Appreciation Week. City Limits staff is always so friendly and helpful. They showed up bright and early with donuts and coffee to make a rolling cart of treats for our staff and even helped go door to door with our PTA, delivering the treats with our staff. We love partnering with City Limits Subaru!

Rolling for Hope is more than a fundraiser; it’s a celebration of community, compassion, and the power of partnership. As our title sponsor, Idea Auto Group made this year’s event possible, helping us raise critical funds for the Christian Resource Center. Their support didn’t just underwrite an event; it helped sustain the operations that allow CRC to serve families in crisis every day. The Christian Resource Center (CRC) is a collaborative hub in Cedar Park where 11 ministries unite to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of families in crisis. While we support our member ministries’ fundraisers throughout the year, Rolling for Hope is the one event dedicated to funding CRC campus operations, keeping our buildings open, our programs running, and our shared mission alive. These operational funds cover everything from utilities and maintenance to volunteer coordination and shared spaces used by ministries offering food, counseling, job training, and more. Idea Auto Group’s sponsorship of Rolling for Hope wasn’t a first-time gesture; it was a continuation of a generous, hands-on partnership with CRC. For the past couple of years, they have organized a bike drive for our annual Christmas Store, a dignified shopping experience where parents in need can purchase gifts for their children at just 20% of retail value. Prices range from $1 to $20, allowing families to afford high-quality presents they might not otherwise be able to give. This model preserves dignity, empowers choice, and brings joy to hundreds of children each year. As the title sponsor for our first annual Rolling for Hope, Idea Auto Group helped us cover event costs, attract more participants, and amplify our message. More importantly, they showed our community that local businesses care deeply about families facing hardship. We’re proud to share this story as part of the Subaru Love Promise, because love looks like showing up for your neighbors. And that’s exactly what Idea Auto Group did.

On August 20, Uhland Elementary received a gift that reminded us of what it means to be part of a caring community. City Limits Subaru, through the Subaru Loves Teachers program and AdoptAClassroom, surprised our staff with a $12,500 donation to support teachers and students right here at UES. As principal, I can honestly say it was one of those moments that will stick with me because it showed our teachers that their hard work matters and that this community sees them. Here’s what that donation looked like in action: $10,000 went straight to 25 of our teachers. Each one received a $500 stipend they can use to purchase supplies and resources for their classroom. For teachers, that’s huge. We all know how often they dip into their own pockets to make sure kids have what they need. This time, they got to breathe a little easier and think about what they could add to make learning even better. On top of that, $2,500 was added to my discretionary fund so we can address schoolwide needs throughout the year. And to make it even sweeter, Subaru provided care boxes filled with supplies so classrooms could get an immediate boost. I still remember the looks on my teachers’ faces as the City Limits Subaru team handed out the donations. There was laughter, a few tears, and a lot of gratitude. One teacher told me she had been holding off on buying small-group reading materials because she was worried about stretching her budget any further. That $500 meant she could move forward without second-guessing if she could afford it. That’s the type of impact this gift had—it lifted a weight off their shoulders and allowed them to focus on what they love most: teaching kids. I’ve always believed that when you invest in teachers, you invest in kids. That’s what happened here. Donations like this don’t just buy paper, books, or supplies—they give teachers confidence and encouragement. When teachers feel valued, it shows up in the way they teach. And when teachers thrive, our students thrive. That’s why I told our staff that day: this wasn’t just an investment in classrooms, it was an investment in our ’Roos. What stood out to me was that City Limits Subaru didn’t just drop off a check and leave. Their team came out, celebrated with us, and made our teachers feel seen. That meant a lot. It wasn’t just about the money; it was about being present and showing genuine care. It reminded me that we aren’t in this work alone—we have community partners who want to see our kids succeed and are willing to step in to help make that happen. Since that day, I’ve noticed the ripple effect across campus. Teachers have told me they feel more energized and supported. There’s a different kind of excitement in the hallways, and that energy trickles down to students. Our kids might not fully understand where the donation came from, but they absolutely benefit from it—whether it’s new books, supplies, or just having a teacher who feels supported and motivated. I can’t thank City Limits Subaru and AdoptAClassroom enough for their generosity. You’ve made a real difference for our teachers and students. Our classrooms are stronger, our teachers feel appreciated, and at the end of the day, our kids win. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for choosing to invest in education, for believing in teachers, and for loving our community the way you do. With gratitude, Homero Gonzalez Principal, Uhland Elementary School

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to host my Coffee and Community with Kim networking event at City Limits Subaru. This monthly networking event brings together 60 plus local professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders to build authentic connections and foster collaboration across Buda and the surrounding areas. By opening your doors to this initiative, City Limits Subaru has become more than just a dealership, you’ve become a hub for community growth and engagement. Your support helps create a welcoming space where meaningful conversations happen, partnerships are formed, and local businesses thrive. My guests have consistently commented not only on the quality of the refreshments, but also on the warmth and friendliness of your staff. That personal touch makes a lasting impression and truly sets the tone for the event. Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to making a positive impact in our community. We look forward to many more shared moments and meaningful connections in the future.

On May 19th, the Mama Betty's Golf Classic returned for its 7th annual charity golf event benefiting Flatwater, a local nonprofit that provides mental health services to those impacted by a cancer diagnosis. With the help of all who participated, we raised over $51,000 for Flatwater! That equates to a lifetime of therapy sessions for 12 individuals on their cancer journey. We understand that cancer takes a huge physical toll, and we also know that the mental strength to get through a cancer journey is just as daunting. That's why I started this golf tournament: to raise money to provide as many life-saving therapy sessions as I can for people who need it most. Since its inception in 2010, Flatwater has served over 3,000 individuals in the Central Texas Area, providing over 74,000 therapy sessions. The need is growing, and we are dedicated to rising to the challenge. This year at Onion Creek Club, we hosted over 200 golfers from around the state of Texas, as well as 30+ volunteers, and an impressive list of sponsors that work hard to put their best foot forward to represent their company while creatively entertaining the players on the golf course. It's a unique chance to leave a lasting impression on all who are present during the event, and make all aware that you support the same great cause. City Limits Subaru enthusiastically sponsored our Hole-in-One contest, presenting a beautiful, new Subaru to be won if the golfer could do the almost impossible. This opportunity elevates the tournament, ups the stakes for the players, and ultimately makes the day so much more fun. It's not easy to find a car dealership or auto group that will agree to do this, but City Limits Subaru not only jumped at the chance, but chatted with players and showed support throughout the day. While no one won the car, the opportunity to partner on the Mama Betty's Golf Classic, and the impact that the tournament made on our community far outweigh a hole-in-one. The Flatwater and Mama Betty's families are extremely grateful for your involvement, and hope that we can continue to work with each other through the years!

City Limits Subaru was a major sponsor at the 2025 Buda Lions Club Wiener Dog Races, and the Pet Parade Sponsor. We had the guys from City Limits Subaru at a prime location to interact with our guests, and talk all things Subaru. They had a crowd of people around their booth, and then we had them join us in the dog track to announce the winners of the Pet Parade, and hand out the awards. We had such a fun time talking with them, and making sure that they were having a great time as well. I enjoy getting all our sponsors involved, and the Pet Parade sponsor was the perfect fit for City Limits Subaru. We look forward to working with you for the 2026 races, and the Buda Lions Club would like to say thank you for supporting our fun family event.

Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Buda, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why City Limits Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like City Limits Subaru have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/30/2025, City Limits Subaru donated 504 shoes/socks to Unforgettable Families & Friends. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to City Limits Subaru for sponsoring our recent pet adoption event at Water 2 Wine. Your support helped cover adoption fees for several sweet pups, and we’re thrilled that a few found their forever homes that day! Events like these wouldn’t be possible without community-minded partners like Subaru who truly care about making a difference and being apart. Subaru’s commitment to our community and local engagement is more than just appreciated, it’s impactful. The efforts from Rachelle and Antonia built trust with the residents of Buda & Kyle. I feel safe to refer neighbors to Subaru for their car needs, maintenance, purchasing and possibly other community connections. By easing the cost of the pet adoptions, you helped remove a major barrier for some families who were ready to welcome a pet into their lives. It’s that kind of meaningful sponsorship that transforms lives, both human and furry!! We’ve attached some photos from the event to share the joy and success of the day. Thank you again for your continued support of our community and for helping bring awareness and resources to local pet adoptions. We’re proud to partner with a brand that lives its love for pets in such a tangible way! Again, a huge thank you!!!!!

In a season full of hard work, big hits, and even bigger smiles, the Pinto Rangers coach pitch team found more than just success on the field — they found support from a local business that truly believes in community. At the start of the season, the Rangers were just a group of energetic 7- and 8-year-olds learning the fundamentals of baseball. But thanks to the generous sponsorship from City Limits Subaru, the team got a boost of confidence — and a sharp new set of jerseys to match their growing skills. But City Limits Subaru didn’t stop there. Midway through the season, after a tough back-and-forth game that ended in a gritty 6-4 victory, the kids were surprised to see boxes of hot pizza waiting for them at the dugout. Courtesy of their sponsor, it was a moment that lit up their faces — and fueled some serious post-game celebration. Coach Sam joked, “I don’t know if they were more excited about the win or the pepperoni.” That mix of hustle, heart, and community support propelled the Rangers to a standout 9-2 record. More than just a baseball team, they became a squad of friends, teammates, and future all-stars who knew their town was cheering them on. As the season came to a close, parents, players, and coaches gave a heartfelt thank you to City Limits Subaru for stepping up in a big way. In youth sports, it takes more than just talent to build a great season — it takes a village. And in the case of the Pinto Rangers, it also took a little extra cheese and some top-tier automotive support.

Meals on Wheels Rural Capital Area (MOWRCA) was thrilled to recently partner with City Limits Subaru for the 2025 Great Texas Duck Race, a vibrant community event dedicated to supporting seniors in Hays and Blanco counties. As the Grand Quacker Sponsor, City Limits Subaru's generous support played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of this annual fundraiser, which provides nutritious meals and vital social connections to elderly and disabled individuals who might otherwise face isolation and food insecurity. The race took place on April 5, 2025, at the Sunfield Community in Buda, where thousands of rubber ducks competed for exciting prizes. Each $5 duck adoption directly contributed to MOWRCA's mission, with 93 cents of every dollar raised going directly to client services. City Limits Subaru's involvement exemplifies their commitment to community engagement, their care for seniors in our neighborhoods, and support for local nonprofits. This collaboration not only brought joy and excitement to participants but also made a tangible difference in the lives of seniors in need. MOWRCA extends heartfelt gratitude to City Limits Subaru and all who participated, adopted ducks, or volunteered, demonstrating the profound impact of community solidarity in enhancing the well-being of our senior neighbors.

At the 2025 Empowering Women as Leaders (EWL) Austin Charity Golf Tournament, City Limits Subaru brought incredible energy and generosity to the course as one of our valued Hole Sponsors. Their support wasn’t limited to a sponsorship sign — they made a real connection with our golfers and volunteers! At Hole #18, Antonia Avelar created a welcoming and festive atmosphere with a table full of Subaru swag items, fun conversations, and plenty of smiles. Golfers looked forward to stopping by, picking up a gift, and learning more about Subaru’s commitment to supporting local causes. Many participants commented afterward that it was one of the most memorable and enjoyable parts of the tournament experience! Beyond making the day more fun, City Limits Subaru's sponsorship and donated silent auction gift basket helped us raise over $15,951 to fund scholarships and mentorship opportunities for non-traditional-aged women pursuing their bachelor’s degrees at Texas State University. These women often balance education, family, and work, and EWL helps remove financial and emotional barriers to their success. Subaru’s support this year helped change lives, opening doors of opportunity to women who are determined to create a better future for themselves and their families. We are deeply grateful for City Limits Subaru’s partnership and look forward to welcoming them back to the course next year on April 10, 2026!

We were very excited to host our partners from City Limits Subaru once again at our annual Steam Fair. This event is one of the biggest of our year, where over 2,000 people visit to work with interactive booths and exhibits highlighting Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics across our campuses and our community. Once again, City Limits Subaru brought an electric vehicle for kids to see and set up a booth inside for students to learn more. We love that we can count on our partners at City Limits Subaru for events like this and appreciate their willingness to always step up when we ask for assistance. Partnerships like these are what drive success for our students.

Thank you to City Limits Subaru for their generous donation of native trees to the Parks and Recreation Department! Our mission is to restore as much of the native ecosystem as possible, and it all begins with plant material. We greatly appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with different organizations and connect with new individuals who share our passion for native plants.

We at the Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce are incredibly proud to consider City Limits Subaru as part of our family. City Limits Subaru continues to show that their commitment to the community goes far beyond selling cars. They’re dedicated to building real connections and supporting the local business community in meaningful ways. Last month, they welcomed us into their dealership for our Coffee & Commerce networking event, bringing together over 60 businesses for a morning of great conversations and new opportunities. Their enthusiasm and willingness to open their doors and bring people together speaks volumes! City Limits Subaru’s ongoing involvement with the Chamber and their investment in events like these show just how much they value San Marcos and its growing business community. We’re proud to have them as a San Marcos Area Chamber partner and appreciate all they do to help drive local success!

As a case manager for Austin Angels, a support non-profit walking alongside families and youth experiencing foster care, one of the most difficult parts of my job is having to say the word "no". My daily goal is to increase stability, normalcy, and relational permanency for the families and youth I work with, and the hard truth is, there just aren't enough resources to meet every need. Knowing that so many needs will go unmet can be incredibly discouraging as you wonder--what good am I actually doing? I've always been a staunch believer in the need for communities to come together in order to address any social issue. You don't need to be working at a foster care non-profit to make an impact on the foster care community. In fact, we need more folks who aren't in the social work field who are passionate about making a difference. Because when a youth on my case load comes to me after already overcoming so many barriers in her life and says she's saving all of her funds for a car, I immediately start asking, how can we partner with her to make this a reality? The answer was City Limits Subaru. Through a most generous donation, this 18 year old mom of a sweet two-year old no longer has to dangerously navigate public transportation, wonder how she'll get to school, daycare, work, or appointments on time, or empty all of her savings to realize this dream. Having a car means that this youth in extended foster care can now focus on getting her college degree and creating a safer environment for her own daughter. She's changing the generational narrative of foster care and crushing all of the statistics that tell us none of this should have been possible. I'm endlessly grateful to City Limits Subaru for their donation of this 2024 Subaru Impreza. For the kindness, excitement, and deep compassion of each member of the team our sweet youth interacted with. I've never been more convinced that it takes all of us to completely transform the way families and youth experience foster care. I feel honored to live in a community full of folks who are dedicated to making dreams reality!

When I walked into the Austin Angels gala this year, I expected a night of inspiration—but nothing prepared me for what I witnessed. Krystal, a young woman who had spent most of her life navigating the foster care system, was being honored as Youth of the Year. Her story was incredible. After losing her mother at 10 and entering care, she spent years just trying to survive. But since joining the Dare to Dream program a little over a year ago, she had turned a corner most wouldn’t think possible. GED? Check. First apartment? Done. Enrolled in college with a plan to become a trauma therapist? You bet. She even became a manager at her job and had saved $4,000—every penny earned the hard way—to buy her first car. And that’s when everything changed. As she finished speaking, a woman walked up to her on stage—Julia Herrera, the principal owner of City Limits Subaru. With a smile and a hug, she handed Krystal the keys to a brand-new 2024 Subaru Impreza. The room went completely still, and then absolutely erupted. No one saw it coming—not even Krystal. Turns out, every employee at City Limits Subaru had quietly donated to surprise her, and Julia matched their gifts. They had heard about Krystal’s story and didn’t just want to help—they wanted to be part of her future. This wasn’t about a car. It is about people showing up to say: “You matter. We believe in you. Keep going.” Julia said to her: NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER. NEVER. NEVER! It wasn’t just a gift—it was a statement. And for everyone lucky enough to be in that room, it was a reminder that when business and community come together with purpose, the impact is unforgettable.

On March 1st, City Limits Subaru partnered with Austin Angels to deliver a life-changing surprise to Krystal, an 18-year-old foster youth whose resilience and determination have inspired everyone around her. Krystal entered foster care at just 10 years old after the death of her single mother. The years that followed were marked by instability and hardship—until she was referred to our Dare to Dream mentorship program just over a year ago. Since being matched with her mentor, Krystal has transformed her life: she earned her GED, moved into her first apartment, enrolled in college to pursue her dream of becoming a trauma therapist, got her driver's license, was promoted to manager at her job, and saved $4,000 toward buying her first car. Still, transportation remained a daily challenge—navigating public transit across the city to get to school and work. That’s when the team at City Limits Subaru stepped in. After hearing Krystal’s story, every employee at the dealership chose to donate a portion of their paycheck to help her. Then, Julia Herrera, the principal owner, matched the funds—and together, they gifted Krystal a brand-new 2024 Subaru Impreza. Krystal had no idea what was coming. She had just been named Youth of the Year and was sharing her story on stage at our annual gala. Before she could even step down, Julia met her at center stage and handed her the keys. The room of 300 guests erupted in cheers—and tears. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Krystal’s life changed that night—but so did the lives of everyone who witnessed what’s possible when a business truly gives back. City Limits Subaru didn’t just donate a car. They invested in a young woman’s future. They honored her dignity. They created a moment that none of us will ever forget.

Since 2023, City Limits Subaru has been an extraordinary partner to Austin Angels. We are continually inspired by the way they show up to support our mission to walk alongside children, youth, and families experiencing foster care. What began with a “Share the Love” partnership has grown into a consistent and deeply meaningful commitment from the entire City Limits Subaru team. City Limits Subaru consistently goes the extra mile—whether volunteering at our Back to School Bash or providing Thanksgiving turkeys for families in our programs, their generosity extends beyond financial contributions. As we entered 2025, their partnership continued, growing even stronger. At our annual Angel Ball Gala on March 1st, Julie Herrera and her incredible team helped us create a life-changing moment for Krystal, an 18-year-old young woman in our Dare to Dream® program. Krystal entered foster care at the age of 10 and has faced immense challenges throughout her life, yet has shown remarkable resilience. Determined to build a future of stability and love for her two-year-old daughter, Krystal has earned her GED, moved into her own apartment, became a manager at Whataburger, enrolled in classes at Austin Community College, and saved $4,000 toward her first car. When Julie and the City Limits Subaru team learned that Krystal was relying on Uber to get her daughter to and from school before taking the bus alone to work, they immediately stepped in. Together, the City Limits Subaru team generously contributed toward a new 2024 Subaru Legacy for Krystal. In a breathtaking moment at the Angel Ball, Julie surprised Krystal with the news that she would never have to worry about transportation again. Krystal fell to her knees in shock and gratitude—a moment we will ever forget! City Limits Subaru doesn’t just say they support the community—they live this every day. Their generosity and compassion are changing lives, and we are deeply grateful for their ongoing partnership. Thank you, City Limits Subaru, for your commitment to transforming foster care!

City Limits Subaru partnered with Hays CISD Athletics starting in the 2023-2024 School year by entering into a 5 year advertising partnership deal. City Limits was our first partner and set the tone and laid the foundation for our future partners thru their generous support that allowed us to off-set the costs our our stadium operations for hosting 15 home varsity football games. City Limits further helped us enhance and expand our A/V Broadcasting programs by partnering with them to make a commercial using our students from each of our campuses as the actors and operators. Lastly, City Limits helped us enhance our Game-Day atmosphere by participating in on-site promotions supporting each of our feeder campuses. They provided promotional materials, games, exhibits, new vehicles, and staff to support our spectators in the Game-Day experience.

Since their arrival into our beautiful city of Buda, Texas, City Limits Subaru has been an incredible partner in the community. They have immediately engaged with not only city staff but also the public they serve. They joined the Greater Buda Chamber of Commerce as soon as they broke ground and have been a great support to several events that benefitted not only chamber members but the community at large. They sponsored one of our key monthly events with our Member Luncheon where over 55 people were in attendance. Rachelle and her team were able to tell the audience about the incredible work they do with their Share the Love programs and how they are more than just a car dealership. Then, they hosted a Coffee & Connections morning that is valuable to our members and those who are curious about our Chamber. With their incredible facility and welcoming coffee bar, we were able to meet new partners and again, share what City Limits Subaru believes in and their place here in our community. At each event, this support provides a valuable opportunity to connect with people that may not otherwise come to your dealership or hear about our Chamber. We look forward to growing our relationship and appreciate your commitment to Buda!

Service Dogs, Inc. excited welcomed City Limits Subaru back to our 24th Annual Mighty Texas Dog Walk, November 16, 2024. Their Haute Dog sponsorship of $10,000 and the prestige of their presence made this our most legendary dog walk ever and helped secure our spot at The #1 Dog Event in Austin, the #1 Dog Loving Town in the U.S.A. Their star power also contributed to the Austin Business Journal naming the Mighty Texas Dog Walk among Austin's best festivals for 2024. We utilize the funds raised to rescue dogs from animal shelters across Texas and train them as Service Dogs for wounded vets, other disabled Texans, first responders and child trauma survivors when they have to testify. Their entire staff from the owner, outreach team, on site ambassadors and tech team contribute to an ongoing, mutually respectful and uplifting collaboration. Plus, they're so much fun. Our costume theme was World's Biggest Pajama Party With Dogs, which them embraced. We even had Navy Seals parachute in for an unforgettable extravaganza for people and pets.

On October 10, City Limits Subaru in Buda hosted a PAWSitively PAWSome Pet Adoption event & BBQ to support the PAWS Shelter of Central Texas. The event was part of the Subaru Loves Pet month and featured pet adoptions, a pet costume contest and some delicious BBQ! The event, aimed at raising awareness for animal rescue and finding forever homes for PAWS animals, was a success with two adoptions! The Subaru dog & cat boxes along with the "Chewbaru" toy was a hit with everyone in attendance. PAWS staff, board members and volunteers were excited to accept the $12,000 check from Subaru & the ASPCA. This money will be used to support the animals in our care. Since opening our doors in 1986, PAWS has helped find permanent, loving homes for dogs and cats. We make it our mission to ensure each pet in our care is provided with love and enrichment until they find their forever home. Every adoptable dog & cat in our care is spay/neutered in our surgery suite at our Dripping Springs Campus and is also fully vaccinated & microchipped. Since Subaru opened its new dealership in Buda, they have hosted a number of adoption events for PAWS and we are forever grateful for the partnership! With a passion for animal welfare, PAWS is proud to partner with City Limits Subaru, whose commitment to community involvement aligns perfectly with our mission. Four PAWS staff members are proud owners of Subarus!

City Limits Subaru proudly sponsored the Austin LGBT Chamber’s 5th Annual Pride in Local Music, which took place in partnership with HAAM on HAAM Day. This vibrant celebration of music and diversity was held at ACL Live’s 3Ten stage, where City Limits Subaru made a significant impact by bringing two of their signature vehicles and setting up an inviting table on the patio. Pride in Local Music emerged during the COVID pandemic as a heartfelt initiative by the Austin LGBT Chamber to support the live music scene and creative economy in Austin. Over the years, the festival has blossomed, providing essential support to more than 20 local LGBTQIA+ artists. This year's event continued the tradition of celebrating the diverse voices and talent that define the Live Music Capital of the World. The festival featured an array of performances from local artists, each bringing their unique sound and perspective to the stage. The lively atmosphere reflected the colorful diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community, showcasing the power of music to unite and inspire. City Limits Subaru’s involvement in the Pride in Local Music festival underscored their dedication to supporting local arts and the LGBTQIA+ community. By fostering an inclusive celebration of music and culture, they reinforced the importance of community connection and the role of businesses in uplifting voices and talents often overlooked. The collaboration between City Limits Subaru, the Austin LGBT Chamber, and HAAM not only celebrated local artists but also strengthened the bonds within the community, ensuring that the spirit of pride and creativity continues to thrive in Austin.

City Limits Subaru partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and Texas Oncology of Austin Midtown this year through the Subaru Loves to Care Initiative. This partnership involved delivering 80 blankets and 50 patient care kits to patients receiving treatment at Texas Oncology. Rachelle from City Limits Subaru was very helpful and generous in leading the delivery efforts this year, and patients were truly appreciative. Additionally, City Limits Subaru has supported the LLS Urgent Need program, giving $10,000 to provide 20 pediatric cancer households with $500 each in financial assistance. City Limits Subaru has shown a commitment to supporting and engaging with the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce and San Marcos community. Their dedication to our community has been evident in every initiative, including the 2024 S.T.E.A.M. Fair, Chamber Mixer, and Member Appreciation Cookout! The Chamber Mixer hosted and sponsored by City Limits Subaru brought together local businesses and community leaders for an evening of camaraderie. City Limits Subaru's hospitality provided a valuable opportunity for networking and fostering new relationships, helping to strengthen our local business community. They also played a key role in the 2024 S.T.E.A.M. Fair, an event focused on science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. The S.T.E.A.M. Fair, presented by the San Marcos Area Chamber and CTE Program at San Marcos CISD, hosted over 1,000 guests who immersed themselves with local businesses and their captivating exhibits. City Limits Subaru’s participation and showcase of their EV brought an extra layer of excitement and engagement with the students and their families - sparking curiosity and inspiring young minds. Additionally, City Limits Subaru was the title sponsor of the Chamber's Member Appreciation Cookout, a celebration of our dedicated members and partners. Their support helped make it a memorable and enjoyable day for everyone involved. City Limits Subaru's involvement has made a meaningful impact on our community. Their support has enhanced our events, provided valuable opportunities for engagement, and helped to foster a stronger, more connected San Marcos. We are thankful to have them as valued partners.

Every year, the Buda Lions Club hosts the Country Fair and Wiener Dog Races. Profits from the event are given back to the community with donations to youth programs, senior citizen programs, $22,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors, athletic program support, special need support for area schools, vision care for youth and adults, and camps for children with special needs or medical challenges. The event consists of wiener dog races, as well as mixed breed dog races. We had over 200 dogs participate this year! This event is very fun and popular, and visitors come from the Austin area as well as locations outside of Texas. We also have food and craft vendors, live music, a kid zone play area, and a BBQ cookoff. We have options for corporate sponsorships to support our efforts. City Limits Subaru made a generous donation as a sponsor, and it was a pleasure to work with them as we focus on giving back to the community.

In April 2024 City Limits Subaru in Buda, TX donated 6 beautiful native trees for Kyle, TX's Heroes Memorial Park during an Earth Day Tree Planting Ceremony. During the ceremony, the three Redbud and three Desert Willow trees donated by City Limits Subaru were be planted at Heroes Memorial Park The tree planting ceremony completed Kyle’s Heroes Memorial Park, a centerpiece for the city where U.S. military veterans and first responders are honored through an educational, reflective, and celebratory experience. The park is a public gathering place for ceremonies, remembrance events, and educational programs. Its focal point is the Memorial Garden, which features an honor wall and remembrance totem that honors Hays County service members Killed in Action since WWI. "We are grateful for this generous donation that not only brings life to the trees, but also to our cityscape and our community,” Council Member Lauralee Harris said . “We hope these trees will grow to nurture not just nature, but all those that come to reflect and remember at our Heroes Memorial.” “We feel privileged to be a small part of this wonderful project honoring Hays County heroes,” City Limits Subaru Retailer Principal Julie Herrera said. “We are glad to be a part of this special tree-planting ceremony that improves our environment while also honoring veterans.”

City Limits Subaru offered to assist the Sunfield Elementary School PTA in supporting our teachers and staff during staff appreciation week. Rachelle Grossman was so friendly and helpful and purchased breakfast tacos for our entire staff, which is 96 people. On top of that, Rachelle and several employees from City Limits Subaru showed up early in the morning on 5/9/24 when the tacos were delivered and unexpectedly offered to join our PTA members to help distribute the tacos (and coffee and other freebies) to our staff. The extra sets of hands were so helpful and very much appreciated and the staff all thought that was really great service. It was great to get to know the Subaru employees and everyone had a great time. Additionally, City Limits Subaru provided the car rider tags for all 800+ of our students for the second year in a row. The employees were able to drop off the car tags at the same time, way in advance of the new school year. This is extremely helpful to the campus administrative staff, as it's one less task they have to worry about during the back-to-school busy time. We look forward to many future collaborations with City Limits Subaru!

I am so fortunate to be able to share with you the wonderful impact that City Limits Subaru has had on our elementary school, Camino Real Elementary. Their employees volunteered as Reading Buddies to our second-grade students during the 2023-2024 school year. Our second-grade students have improved their reading skills and they now have more confidence in their abilities due to the guidance and love that their reading buddies gave them. The employees at City Limits Subaru came faithfully every Tuesday and dedicated a full hour to their reading buddies. I knew this was a huge success when my second graders would continuously ask me if their reading buddy was coming back the following week. I also knew it was a success when I saw the smiles on our student’s faces and the wonderful interchange they experienced. City Limits Subaru also gifted our entire staff with pizza and cookies for Teacher Appreciation Week!! Our teachers appreciated the recognition and the much-needed sugar :) Subaru City Limits gave their reading buddies an awesome end of year celebration. We celebrated with pizza, cookies, and YES! There was music and dancing!! Finally, Subaru City Limits has chosen Camino Real Elementary as their partner for August Subaru Loves Learning campaign for the 2024-2025 school year funding 25 of our classrooms with a $500 donation and also buying 25 "kits" to provide additional supplies and learning materials for our classrooms. We are a Title 1 school and these resources will be put to great use in giving our students the needed materials and resources they need to learn. I am so grateful for this partnership and for the support that City Limits Subaru has offered our students here at Camino Real Elementary and I am SUPER excited for the future successes that will come our way.

Caregivers at Ascension Seton Hays, the regional medical center for Hays County, Texas, work hard to meet the health needs of our patients. Everyday, 24/7, they show up to provide the highest level of care to everyone who walks in our doors, regardless of their ability to pay. They carry the stress of working in life and death situation everyday giving their all to each patient in front of them. Doctors, nurses, therapists, techs, cooks, and chaplains all work as a team to create a comfortable, healing environment for patients and families no matter what is happening outside the hospital. City Limits Subaru wanted to say thank you to our caregivers for all the work they do to keep our community healthy. The team at City Limits Subaru sponsored a special meal for all hospital associates to share the love to folks that give some much. The team served a fruit cup bar complete with custom toppings as a healthy pick me up for staff. They also ran a photo booth and trivia wheel for hospital staff to win prizes including one of 10 free oil changes at the dealership. Caregivers were all smiles as they filled their cups, answered questions, and were showered with kind words from Subaru.

For the past several years I have been looking forward to hosting a charity pickleball tournament. As the opportunity became a reality I knew I had limited time without prior experience on taking on this type of adventure. As a local firefighter taking on difficult tasks with many unknowns and possible road blocks this environment is nothing new. Nevertheless, I knew I would require the assistance of local sponsors to help this first annual event become a successful one. I want to thank City Limits Subaru, and Rachelle Grossman for the support in sponsorship of this tournament. The feedback, participation, of 80 total players (firefighters/civilians), and the spectators was great. I learned a lot from this experience, along with creating new friends and relationships with local sponsors such as your company to help support local Texas burn victims. I look forward to having our second annual charity pickleball tournament this coming spring 2025. I appreciate your participation and support in this first of many charity tournaments. The Hill Country Firefighter Burn Fund is a local firefighter led 501(c) 3 charity that supports young adult and pediatric burn survivors. Find Hill Country Firefighter Burn Fund on Facebook for additional information on Camp Ax and other ways they help local burn victims. What a treat to have City Limits Subaru show up to sponsor these kids as they chase their dreams of becoming professional baseball players!! Not only does the financial support help out the entire league, it also allows the kids to choose their own numbers - something very important to them! Not only did City Limits sponsor, but they also went out of their way to come and watch the boys play! Are you kidding me? The kids felt so special to have fans in the crowd to cheer them on. Subaru's team not only cheered, but they brought the most coveted of all game days - SNACKS! So much thoughtful support has gone into this partnership and we are so thankful to have City Limits Subaru in our community!

City Limits Subaru was honored to be a part of something truly special on February 18th, upon the completion of the 2024 Austin Marathon. In January of 2024, our Subaru Share the Love® Event charity partner, Austin Angels, reached out with a special request. A young man named Abel was in dire need of some assistance and they felt City Limits Subaru was the right team to help. In 2020, when Abel was just 15, he, along with his seven younger brothers and sisters, were placed into foster care. Now, a freshman at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Abel had been enduring three-hour bus commutes to and from Austin to see his siblings and to attend leadership meetings with Austin Angels. This involved taking city buses to the Greyhound station before boarding a final bus to Austin. Abel was in critical need of safe, reliable transportation, but did not have the means to acquire any. When Austin Angels brought this story to the team at City Limits Subaru, and we heard about the monumental challenges this young man had to overcome, we were deeply moved. Immediately, City Limits Subaru sprang into action. The entire staff opened their hearts and wallets to make this dream come true. In the words of retailer principal, Julie Herrera, “We knew we had to help because it was quite simply the right thing to do. We knew this would transform his college commute, and hopefully set the stage for a lifetime of positive change.” So, on February 18th, Abel set out to run the half marathon alongside his Austin Angels Dare to Dream® mentor, Connor Copeland. What Abel didn’t know was that there was the surprise of a lifetime waiting for him at the finish line. As Abel and Connor completed the race, they were greeted by a crowd of people who played pivotal roles in helping to transform his life. The crowd then led Abel to the reveal of a brand-new Subaru Impreza, all thanks to 100% participation from the City Limits Subaru staff who raised more than $25,000! “Words cannot describe how deeply moved we were by this act of generosity,” said Austin Angels founder and CEO Susan Ramirez. “This new vehicle will not only help Abel’s commute but will provide a way to keep his family together and alter the course of his young life. We believe that while not everyone is called to foster or adopt, everyone can play a role and make a difference in a child’s life.” Austin Angels launched the Dare to Dream® program in 2017. The program matches mentors with youth experiencing foster care to navigate life's challenges together by providing advice, encouragement, and a supportive community. The team at City Limits Subaru is grateful for the opportunity to serve their local community and so thankful for the partnership with Austin Angels. We hope Abel drives many happy miles in his new Impreza! His hard work earned it.

Subaru City Limits recently bestowed a life-altering gift upon a former foster youth whom I have the privilege of working with through Austin Angels, a foster care nonprofit. For years, we've had the honor of collaborating with an exceptional family consisting of two parents and four children. Our Austin Angels case manager diligently paired the three older children with remarkable mentors, and one of youth in the home, Abel, has successfully graduated and transitioned into college, thanks in large part to the invaluable support of his mentor, who has become like family to him. Upon learning about Abel's remarkable journey through Austin Angels, the team at City Limits Subaru felt compelled to make a significant difference in his life. Abel had been commuting weekly by bus from college in San Antonio to his family in North Austin, but City Limits Subaru decided it was time for a change. Their surprise gift—a stunning new car presented to Abel at the conclusion of the recent Austin Marathon—has not only eased his transportation struggles but has also allowed him to be there for his younger siblings, for whom he serves as a vital role model. In extending this gesture, City Limits Subaru is actively contributing to reshaping the trajectory of youth in foster care, particularly in terms of education and support. We are immensely grateful for City Limits Subaru's extraordinary generosity, and we're thrilled to welcome them as valued members of our community.

Abel is a remarkable young man in Austin Angels' Dare to Dream® program. Currently a freshman at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Abel's journey to this point was not always clear. At just 14 years old, Abel assumed the role of caregiver when he and his eight younger siblings entered foster care. He selflessly sacrificed his own childhood, prioritizing his family above all else. The children were separated and placed in different homes, but that didn’t stop Abel from ensuring the wellbeing of his siblings. When he was first paired with his Dare to Dream mentor, Connor, four years ago at the age of 15, uncertainty clouded Abel's vision of the future — but that soon began to change. When Abel and Connor, then 22, were matched, they forged a friendship that quickly evolved into an unbreakable bond. Together, they have celebrated life's triumphs and navigated challenges, with Connor being a constant pillar of support in Abel’s life. From cheering him on at track meets to celebrating his adoption and graduation on the same monumental weekend, Connor’s steadfast presence has been life-changing. When Abel expressed hesitation around pursuing college, Connor guided him through various options until he found a path that felt right for him. He is interested in STEM, finance, and business, and is an entrepreneur at heart with a vision of owning his own business in the future. Just a few weeks ago, Abel and Connor achieved another incredible milestone when they participated in the Austin Marathon together. After months of training and fundraising, they crossed the finish line together — and we were there with the surprise of a lifetime as City Limits Subaru gifted him with a 2024 Subaru Impreza! What once seemed insurmountable is now Abel's reality — a journey that began in his heart, and grew to fruition with countless hours of consistent support from Connor. Abel's narrative is one of incredible transformation, hope, and resilience. This is merely the beginning of his inspiring story – a story made possible because of the power of community. We're honored that Subaru chose to be a part of this, and are so inspired by the way that City Limits Subaru shows up for their community. Thank you!

I got to witness and capture such an amazing full circle moment. One of the youth I used to work with from the shelter was gifted a car today from City Limits Subaru after running the Austin marathon with his amazing mentor from Austin Angels. It is to help him get to and from college, so he doesn’t have to take the bus home anymore. I remember meeting this youth and his brother years ago. We played basketball and ladder toss with the other youth all summer, as well as gave each other cool nicknames. I was there for the first call when they got introduced to their new placement and have been able to see so many wonderful things since then. It was crazy because after getting the car, he said to me: “Who, would have thought this is how far we would have come all these years later? It made me so thankful that I was lucky enough to see all this happen in my lifetime. When you dedicate your life to helping people, most of the time you aren’t lucky enough to see how things turn out. I am forever grateful for moments like these and never want to take them for granted. I am also so thankful to work for an organization that is willing to do whatever it takes to help youth and families experiencing foster care and are able to make connections like this happen.

We are honored that the world's favorite car company shines as brightly on our charitable mission as it does on the road. City Limits Subaru in Buda, Texas, just days after its official opening, took the wheel in our annual fundraiser, The Mighty Texas Dog Walk as Title Sponsor. Leading the pack of over 2,000 dogs and their best friends, City Limits Subaru showed up with a stunning fleet of vehicles, goodies for our guests - both four-legged & two-legged and greeted everyone with smiles as bright as high beams. Proceeds resulted in us expanding our training department and adopting 12 new dogs this year to transform from Homeless to Hero for folks living with disabilities, all free of charge. We thank City Limits Subaru from the bottom of our hearts for making our Mighty Texas Dog Walk the mightiest ever in 23 years!

In the realm of foster care, where challenges abound and support is often scarce, this is a true testament, an amazing Love Promise story! Abel, a former foster youth’s life has been transformed through perseverance, mentorship, community, love and an extraordinary act of generosity from the fine folks at City Limits Subaru. Abel faced hardships from an early age. Yet, amidst the uncertainty and instability, he found solace and guidance through the Dare to Dream® mentorship program at Austin Angels. A foster care nonprofit set out to change the way children, youth and families experience foster care. At the tender age of 14, Abel discovered a support system that believed in his potential and nurtured his aspirations. Abel, now 18 years old, and his mentor, Connor, have been steady companions for four years. As Abel navigated foster care, grappling with shifting placements and fleeting connections, the mentorship program provided a steady anchor amidst the storm. Through mentorship, educational support, and invaluable life skills training, he forged a path towards a brighter future, undeterred by the adversities that surrounded him. Abel was adopted last May at 18 years old and his mentor was by his side through it all. Against all odds, Abel defied expectations and pursued higher education at the University of Texas at San Antonio. However, the path to academic success was fraught with challenges, chief among them being the lack of reliable transportation. With no means of personal conveyance, he relied on public transportation, between Austin and San Antonio to attend classes and return home for visits. Recognizing the formidable challenges faced by the deserving youth, City Limits Subaru embarked on a mission to make a difference in his life. Committed to alleviating the burden of transportation woes and empowering him to seize opportunities with newfound freedom, they gifted him a life-changing gift—a brand-new 2024 Subaru Impreza. But wait, theres more! On a chilly Sunday morning at 7 AM, amidst the crisp air of a 40-degree weather, the entire City Limits Subaru team, Austin Angels staff and dedicated volunteers assembled for the surprise reveal of a lifetime! As Abel, and his mentor, Connor, crossed the Austin marathon's finish line, the owner of City Limits Subaru, Julie Herrera, stepped forth with the keys to his new car. The collective energy was palpable as the sea of people standing in front of the car parted, revealing the 2024 Impreza that represented newfound freedom and opportunity for Abel. Emotions ran high, and tears of joy flowed freely among the crowd as everyone cheered. In a crescendo of celebration, confetti cannons shot off, painting the air with a kaleidoscope of colors. It was a scene of pure magic, a testament to the power of community, compassion, and the indomitable human spirit. It was, without a doubt, the most extraordinary event that I have ever been privileged to witness. It was love in Action. As Abel embarks on a new chapter, propelled by the gift of mobility and the unwavering belief in his potential, his story serves as a beacon of hope for foster youth everywhere. For in the crucible of adversity, lie the seeds of resilience, waiting to bloom in the fertile soil of opportunity and compassion. We believe (at Austin Angels) that every single child/youth should have at least one healthy adult who knows the color of their eyes and the passions of their heart. Abel has this and we can't wait to see where he goes next in his journey. This is Love Promise lived out. The Buda-Hays County Black History Celebration, held Saturday, Feb. 24, in Buda was one of the best events in the five years that the event has been organized. City Limits Subaru was an outstanding partner for this cultural event both in terms of financial support and physical presence. City Limits Subaru saw the benefit in contributing to our non-profit organization’s expenses in coordinating an event that offered music, dance, a keynote speech on the impact that African Americans in the arts has played in our country, craft vendors and camaraderie in our community. Subaru also supported the event by bringing in one of its new vehicles for display during the celebration and provided knowledgeable staff on site to respond to attendee questions. Subaru representatives also extended support by addressing the audience on stage at a peak hour of the celebration. As one of Buda’s newest businesses, it was extremely reassuring to see the company’s support of, not only Buda’s African American community, but the Buda community in general. We see Subaru, not just as an I-35 car dealership, but as a true community partner helping us to share our culture with our neighbors and friends. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Subaru and their gracious support of the Buda-Hays County Black History Celebration.

Unforgettable Families and Friends is a small nonprofit organization founded in 2016. We survive off small grants, but we mostly fund our endeavors from personal funds. This is why receiving the grant from City Limits Subaru, "Operation Warm", has been a tremendous help and has greatly made an impact on the way to serve our community. A teacher from the Boys and Girls Club's Texas Prep School sent the following concerning one of her students to City Limits Subaru and Unforgettable Families and Friends, Inc. (UFF). Thank you for hosting Operation Warm this past month. I am an elementary school teacher who witnessed firsthand how your program made a difference. I have a student who started the school year with shoes that were very loved and needed replacement. After receiving his new shoes and coat, I immediately notice a huge difference in the student's outlook. The student has worn his shoes and coat proudly since receiving this wonderful gift. The student also has a newfound confidence each day, prepared to learn! I am grateful for you and the mission of ensuring the families you encounter arrive with a need and leave with a smile. Deepest appreciation, Mrs. RB Thank you City Limits Subaru, for collaborating with Unforgettable Families and Friends, Inc., for Subaru Loves to Help with "Operation Warm". The testimony above proves that partnerships with Operation Warm provide emotional warmth, and confidence to succeed. We are proud to contribute to the 150,000 children with brand-new tennis shoes, socks, and coats. A special thanks to City Limits Subaru for going the extra mile for spending an extra $700 to provide tennis shoes and jackets to the larger children who did not fit the sizes we had on hand. The Director of Community Relations, Rachelle Grossman was a joy to work with. She was always an email or a telephone call away. UFF is looking forward to a long happy partnership with City Limits Subaru on many other worthwhile events to support our community.

We reached out to City Limits Subaru to let the car company know about a critical surgery needed for Darcy Messinger, one of our 5th grade teachers. I connected with their Love Promise Coordinator Rachelle Grossman who without hesitation joined the efforts to support our mission. The Sunfield community hosted a benefit concert for Darcy's daughter, Madeleine, who is suffering from Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and has become progressively ill. She is in need of life-saving surgery and the only doctor in the world who can perform this surgery is in Germany. Rachelle quickly put together a gift basket for our silent auction and organized financial support for our event at Bucks Backyard on February 4th. We truly could not have done this event with out the support of Rachelle and Subaru City Limits! City Limits Subaru has only been in our community a few short months and already stepped up big time. In addition to helping with the benefit, Subaru City Limits sponsors our car line drop-off and pick-up tags for students at our school. On December 16th, Austin Angels held its annual, free holiday gift extravaganza for foster families and youth in our program and on our waitlist. We were in desperate need of toys, personal care, and other items, but most critically holiday gifts for older kids in foster care, especially gift cards. We also had an urgent call for volunteers to help serve at our event, wrap gifts, and serve as personal shoppers for foster families. We were so surprised and thrilled to receive a call from the City Limits Subaru team to ask how they could be a blessing to our families. Within just a few days, they personally delivered 16 gift cards that impacted the lives of 16 youth and 10 households in our program! Beyond this, a team of 5 showed up early and stayed late to volunteer. General manager Gary Clifton, Love Promise Coordinator Rachelle Grossman, and sales/service advisors Miguel Palacios, Nickolas O’Neill, and Jonathan Bynum assisted families “shop” for gifts for their families, wrap the gifts, and load them up into families' cars. The team at City Limits Subaru has shown up in a BIG way for the most vulnerable in our community, and they have only just begun! Opening their doors in mid November meant for a busy time for all of them, and yet they made giving back to their community a priority - setting and inspirational example for us all. We are SO grateful they are here in Buda!!
